Bad Arvixe Support Reviews

Better uptime

HostMonster has 3 data centers located in Provo, Utah, each of which utilizes high-quality quad processor servers with 16-core AMD Opteron Processors, RAID 10 SATA storage and 32GB DDR3. What’s more, UPS power supply, diesel backup generators and 24×7 monitoring are also provided to ensure maximum uptime. As tested, this web host achieves a 99.98% uptime.

Arvixe has world-class data centers located in Chicago, Dallas and New Jersey. More importantly, the company equips its data centers with uninterrupted power supply, SAS 70 Type II Certification, N+ 1 generator, and multiple Tier 1 telecom providers. The following chart reveals the uptime of Arvixe based on our monitoring in the last month.

It is clear that HostMonster ensures the better uptime record than Arvixe.

Faster response speed

Both web hosts have done a lot to ensure great performance. All their data centers are using 4 separate physical fiber lines with more than 5,000 servers, 2 diverse entrances with access to all major IP/transit providers, and multiple 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections, all helping to deliver a fast speed.

As for Arvixe, the host utilizes CloudFlare CDN to deliver the site data with 20+ data centers around the world. Moreover, it applies the latest Intel Xeon E5620 processors and routers from Cisco and uses SSD raid arrays for system services.

For testing purposes, we have hosted sites on both HostMonster and Arvixe. According to our monitoring recorded in the last 30 days, HostMonster is up to 104% faster than Arvixe averagely.

More cost-effective hosting plans

HostMonster offers 3 shared hosting plans, including Basic, Plus, and Prime, which are respectively priced at $9.49/mo, $12.49/mo, and $14.99/mo.

As for Arvixe, 2 plans are included in the shared hosting. They are Personal Class and Personal Class Pro. Their prices regularly start at $7/mo and $10/mo. They used to offer a promotional campaign, which already ends now. In this case, if you are looking for the cheaper option, HostMonster ensures the more affordable discounted price along with a great discount.

Arvixe Wins over HostMonster

After our careful investigation, we find that Arvixe has a single advantage over HostMonster. Arvixe offers more hosting freedom than HostMonster with the release of both Linux and Windows hosting solutions. However, HostMonster tries its best to meet the need for Linux users ONLY. Therefore, HostMonster is not an ideal choice if you want to run your website on Windows operating system. Due to the low service quality, however, we stick to the idea that you should stay away from Arvixe even if you want Windows hosting.

Conclusion – Which One is Better?

Actually, based on this comparison, you can find that HostMonster offers a better hosting solution than Arvixe. With this hosting provider, you can enjoy the faster hosting, better support, more features at a cheaper price.
