In fact, if you have run your WordPress site for a while, you must encounter some situations that require you to find and provide the specific page ID or post ID.

In this case, if you need the related information for some purposes, you can check out the following content.
Know Something About WordPress Page ID and Post ID
In fact, all the web contents on your WordPress site have their own unique and exclusive ID. This way, whenever you, your users or the add-on tools need to target and query the specific content, it can come in handy quickly.
Especially, there are a lot of WordPress plugins that allow you to include or to exclude some posts or pages from applying to the plugin functions. And this time, the ID number is useful. For example, there is a popular plugin called Advanced Ads Management, with which you can better display and control your showcased advertisements.
From the Display Condition settings part, you can enter the exact page ID for the enhanced showcase condition.
In addition, some plugins require you to use the shortcode parameters for querying the specific posts or pages. If so, you should provide the correct number to better leverage the shortcode.
Find WordPress Page ID and Post ID
To find the ID number, you should check the URL of your target post or page when you editing in the WordPress admin. In this case, you should enter the All Posts tab or the Pages tab, target your wanted piece of content and click the Edit button.
After that, you should look at the URL in the browser address bar. From here, you can find the post=number value, which is exactly the ID number.
Note that the process goes the same when you want to find the ID number of your categories, tags and media.
Consider the Installation of Show IDs by 99 Robots
If you are looking for an easier way to get the ID and do not mind the installation of the extra plugin, you can consider the utilization of the Show IDs by 99 Robots. It is super light-weight so you do not need to configure it for the extra settings. You just need to install and activate it. And then, you can find a new column on the admin screen of your posts, pages and categories.
